In order to attract millions of gamers to the web3, Glip, an Indian startup with a global web3 gaming discovery and wallet software, raised $2.5 million in a fundraising round led by Hashed Emergent with participation from Beenext and current investor Prime Venture Partners.
In addition to increase user acquisition and engagement, Glip also keeps partnering with web3 games like Axie Infinity, League of Kingdoms, and KOF Arena from Netmarble. Glip is developing a specific distribution platform for web3 games as they improve day by day with respect to gameplay and sustainable economies.
According to Tak Lee, Managing Partner of Hashed Emergent:
"At Hashed Emergent, we think that the gaming sector will be crucial in bringing the next billion consumers online through Web3. Web3 gaming is now facing two significant obstacles: a lack of distribution channels and difficult user onboarding. The Glip team has created a seamless platform to address both. We are inspired to work with the team as they develop the "Steam" alternative for Web3 games because of their agility, vision, and speed of execution."
Over 2 million people actively utilise the Glip platform now. Despite having an Indian base, the team serves a worldwide customer. Decentralization is a key component of Web3 technology, and Glip's super app for Web3 gaming exemplifies this goal.
Through several rounds, Glip has raised $6 million in funding. Prime Venture Partners, Better Capital, iSeed, and numerous angel investors were listed as participants in the Seed A round. By onboarding 1 million players within the first three months of the project, it experienced great success right away.
The most popular web3 gaming app in India is Glip, which is expanding quickly. Over 7 million people have downloaded its smartphone app in Brazil, India, and Southeast Asia. In one app, players may find new web3 games, follow tutorials, and take part in competitions and quests. As soon as they log into the app, they also receive a social login, non-custodial, multi-chain, gasless wallet.
The development of blockchain and cryptocurrencies depends on the location of India. Over the years, a number of neighborhood exchanges and projects have experienced significant success. In short, Glip is one of the rising stars and a well-known Web3 gaming platform.
Significantly, Parth Choudhary, founder and CEO of Glip, continues:
"Web3 games are expanding quickly and getting better every day thanks to the $10 billion already invested in them, but they are all having trouble attracting users on web2 platforms. Our goal is to create the biggest web3 gaming platform in the world."
Ishan Shrivastava, CEO and founder of Glip, says:
"We have more than 100 games in development, from renowned publishers all over the world. They're all thrilled that web3 is being adopted in developing nations and that they'll soon have access to a self-serve dashboard to manage campaigns and gather analytics. Soon, Glip will have 100K monthly active web3 players."
The $2.5 million in funding from Hashed Emergent, Prime Venture Partners, and Beenext will be used by Glip to develop their ten-person staff, introduce new features to their products, and extend their community internationally. Additionally, Glip continues to follow a zero-marketing-burn approach to stay lean and advance the web3 gaming narrative.
